Today is the astrological new year and I’m finally making it official. I’m launching two new podcasts this week, COLLECTIVE IMAGININGS and BACK TO BASICS.
One is something I’ve been dreaming about for years. The other is a new way to connect with folks as a teacher.
COLLECTIVE IMAGININGS is a podcast about the way we collectively weave meaning, entertainment, growth, and creativity. I’ve been obsessed with this idea for years and I’m so excited to finally share this offering with you.
Basically COLLECTIVE IMAGININGS a pop culture podcast. I talk about the connections I see between the stories we tell and the lives we live. I call this archetypal storytelling. I break down television, movies, video games, memes and more, and connect it to the larger landscape of our collective evolution, empowerment, and identity. In this first episode I explore stories where witches and the indigenous win. Like, actually win against institutional oppression and harm. I talk about The Wicker Man (1973) and The Terror (2018), plus a little drop about Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022). This episode was produced and edited with the help of my good friend, the very talented Lisa Kori, who you will hear me in conversation with dotted throughout this missive.
This podcast idea has been a longgggg time coming. It first came to me as an idea for a quarterly journal, back in 2018. Then my tarot teacher at the time, Lindsay Mack, suggested that I make the idea into a podcast and it’s been sitting with me ever since!
This launch is me just doing the thing. It’s imperfect, messy, probably doesn’t have enough fanfare or admin prep behind it, but it’s real. It’s done. It exists. The work is available and has begun. There’s so much more to come, but I’m really just excited to have it out there. This is work that has been important to me for so long, and I’m glad to share it with you when we really need it! As I’ve mentioned extensively over the last couple years, our relationship to our creativity is our north star during these crazy times. How we understand the impact of storytelling is vital to how we create new worlds!

I have been wrangling with this idea for a foundations class for the last, I don’t know, 6 months? But none of the ways that it tried to come through initially felt authentic.
Lately, I’ve been seeking new ways to share my work, outside of paradigms of corporations, academia, and nonprofit institutions. I want my work to be accessible for me as a teacher, and for you as an audience. The BACK TO BASICS podcast is a way for me to share about getting back to or starting anew with foundational practices + energetic hygiene and tech. This work is for both newcomers and experienced practitioners wanting to reconnect with themselves and spirit.
I’m going to use this space to talk about anything and everything foundational to developing a solid and embodied spiritual and energetic practice. Tarot, astrology, quantum energetics, Human Design, alchemy, and so so much more will be discussed. This first episode is just an intro and a hello. We’re going to start in earnest in the second episode where I will talk about the importance of strong spiritual foundations and who I am as a teacher.

I know it seems crazy to launch like this, but honestly the world is on fire! Who gives a shit!! Just do the thing!
A very relevant directive as today is the first day of Aries season and the start of the astrological new year! Plus Mercury is stationing direct! All in a Wheel of Fortune/Magician year. Just do it is simply the name of the game right now. Staggering self-belief. Claiming of mastery. Operation on faith. Here is our chance to take the reins and own our power and wisdom. No more playing small for fear of failure or being disliked. The time to show up is now.
